Lars Helge Øverland is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at BAO Systems. In his role at BAO Systems, he leads software engineering and architectural strategy, driving product development and tech infrastructure across web and integration solutions. Beginning at its inception in 2005 at the University of Oslo, Lars served as the lead developer for DHIS2, the world’s largest open-source health information management system used across the international development sector. Across his career, he has provided technical advisory on software deployment, maintenance, compliance, and systems integration, partnering with major global development bodies including the WHO, USAID, NORAD, DANIDA, and PEPFAR.
