ESG Director, TIC Council

Marc Boissonnet is ESG Director at TIC Council, the international association representing independent testing, inspection, and certification companies. In this role, he works to bring the expertise of the TIC sector into the development and implementation of the evolving sustainability landscape and the quality infrastructure needed to support the green transition.

A mechanical engineer by training, Marc spent nearly four decades at Bureau Veritas, holding operational, commercial, corporate affairs, and sustainability leadership positions. During the latter part of his career there, he served as Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice-President of Corporate & External Affairs.

Marc has also contributed extensively to TIC Council’s sustainability work, including chairing its ESG Working Group. He received the TIC Council Merit Award for his contribution to sustainability-related industry guidance and has participated in the European Commission Expert Group on Sustainability Assurance Standards, bringing the perspective of the testing, inspection, and certification sector to the development of sustainability assurance frameworks.
